Chariots of Fire day 1 - Hittite Chariots Roll

Image
Although I originally couldn't make the 2025 running of Chariots of Fire a change in circumstances meant I could and so I jumped at the opportunity. I have always found that MeG games in the "chariot period" are almost always very enjoyable. It was also a chance to get the new 3d printed version of my Hittite army on the table. To see how they went on in the first 2 games, read on ...

Chariots of Fire 2025 - The Lists

Image
The annual "Chariots of Fire" competition was held at Boards and Swords Hobbies in Derby over the weekend of the 6th/7th September. There were 12 players which is a welcome increase on the previous 2 years which have had somewhat low attendance. As ever the games were excellent. There is something about the "chariot" period in MeG that gives consistently good games with lots of action and few games that don't get a full result. To see the armies use din 2025, read on ...

Kent Clash 2025 - Vijayanagar Day 2

Image
The weekend of the 1st/2nd March saw 12 players gather for the Kent Clash. The theme for the competition was to field any army but that it must contain at least 1 unit of elephants. So this would allow a wide range of quite diverse armies. Also there was a special "Elephant King" prize for the Commander whose army killed the most Elephants. I decided to take an Indian army, Vijayanagar. Day 1 had seen me score 21 out of a possible 30. To see how I fared on the 2nd day, read on ...

Kent Clash 2025 - The Lists

Image
The weekend of the 1st/2nd March 2025 was the Kent Clash held, as you might guess, in Kent - at a private school in Sevenoaks to be more exact. All armies had to have at least 1 TuG of at least 2 Elephants that could be either from the main list or an allies list. Also there was a special "Elephant King" prize for the Commander whose army killed the most Elephants. The results as the list used can be found if you read on ...

Ice and Fire 2025 - The Lists

Ice and Fire 2025 - Buyids Day 1

Image
The fourth running of the MeG "Ice and Fire" competition took place over the weekend of 11th/12th January. This kicks off the 2025 MeG competition year and has proved popular each time it has been run. The theme is "open", but with only "eastern-ish" armies allowed - so no date restrictions; but roughly speaking armies based west of Byzantium are not allowed (plus a few eastwards as well if they are deemed "out of character" for the comp). I took Dailami Dynasties (Buyid) and to find out how they fared read on ...

Footsloggers 2024 - The Lists
